There is so much that needs to be discussed! What are you waiting for?    Hello. My friends call me Pretzel. I'm 20 and roaming Philadelphia.

The thoughts are varied, the content random.

Just finished up the Claymore series.

The show really surprised me, I hadn’t been excited to fly through an anime like that in a long time.

The monsters were amazingly well drawn and each Claymore’s special ability was a very interesting way to design the fighting sequences.  The fight scenes are crazy brutal too, it’s just a shame the monsters blood is purple.  Monsters disguised as family members, eating the family… it gets pretty intense.  Even some psychological stuff, a lot of themes about natural power that is within us and the strength that comes with learning control

I really wish the show was more than just 26 episodes and the manga series could have been followed closely.  The biggest issue was just that, the show was 11 installments of a manga legend crammed into 24 episodes and then a final 2 episodes that were crafted for a kosher ending. The ending left me wanting so much more, it feels like a lot is left unresolved.  It almost makes me want to read the manga…

But regardless, it’s totally worth the watch with well choreographed fight scenes, interesting setting and content, and the coolest pack of female warriors you’ll ever see. Highly recommended.
